Minister Paschal Donohoe has launched Ireland’s first comprehensive business support pack in Waterford, in collaboration with the Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber. The pack, exclusively sponsored by Eirgrid, was created by the Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber (DWW) to provide information on grants, resources, funding, and supports for businesses at all stages of their journey in Ireland.
The business support pack includes details on various resources available to businesses, such as employer and workforce supports for talent acquisition, training, upskilling, and apprenticeships. It also covers energy supports, general business supports and mentoring, finance and credit options, and financial planning for business owners.
The pack was developed in response to concerns raised in a DWW Chamber survey regarding the overwhelming amount of business information members face and the difficulty in determining its relevance. Minister Donohoe commended the Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber for compiling this comprehensive pack, which aims to streamline access to relevant information and strengthen connections between supports and business sustainability.
EirGrid, the exclusive sponsor of the business support pack, expressed pride in collaborating with the award-winning Chamber to deliver this important resource for businesses. Sinead Dooley, Head of Public Engagement at EirGrid, emphasized their commitment to business support and sustainability, making the sponsorship a natural decision.
DWW Chamber President Oren Byrne highlighted the challenges faced by business owners in navigating available supports, grants, and resources. The Chamber aims to simplify the presentation of information, breaking through confusion and empowering members to focus on running their businesses feeling informed and supported.
